What are gems and how do they work?

Gems are HiSugar's in-app currency. You have a single gem balance linked to your account email, so it is the same balance wherever you sign in.

What you can spend gems on

• Gifts for characters (gifts also improve the character's mood and your relationship)
• Photos and other generated content in the chat

How to get gems

• Subscriptions — some plans include gems
• Direct purchase — buy a gem pack from the Gems page. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: you are charged once and the gems are added to your balance.

Things to know

• Gems are tied to your account email — sign in with the same email to see the same balance.
• Spent gems are not refundable once the content has been delivered.
• Unused gems remain in your account as long as your account is active.
